We stayed for one night in a room with a private entrance and appreciated how simple it was to stroll to nearby Kjarnaskogur park, which is less than a 10-minute walk, and take in the stunning views of Akureyrarkirkja, situated not too far away. however, the heating in our room was too hot, which made our stay a bit uncomfortable.

Stunning views to wake up to

Every morning, I opened the curtains to breathtaking vistas of the mountains. The room was spacious and modern, with a delightful balcony for enjoying morning coffee.

However, the bathroom lighting was quite dim, making it a challenge during early mornings. We could have really used paper towels for convenience.

The made-to-order sandwiches at the bar are a must-try, bursting with local flavors! Plus, the free drinks in the room were a nice surprise, keeping the hydration rolling. A solid WiFi connection made it easy to share our adventures!

The hotel's location is a bit outside Akureyri, which might throw you off. Plus, be ready for some noise from neighboring rooms and hallways – not the best for light sleepers!

I had an amazing stay! The hot tub overlooks fine landscapes. Breakfast included fresh pancakes and eggs, which were delicious. The room was spacious and had a kettle for tea. Communication was easy and check-in was smooth. 😊

The view of the lake and mountains was stunning, and having a coffee machine in the room was a cool touch. But it got too hot at night, and we struggled a bit with the PIN entry system. Overall, it was a solid place.

The breakfast was an absolute highlight, with fresh pastries and a waffle maker that had me feeling like a kid again. The hot tub outside provided the perfect escape, surrounded by fine views while enjoying a drink from the bar.

It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly but it was alright, I suppose.

The hillside property offered stunning views of the town skyline, complemented by courteous staff, particularly Mr Robert. The room featured memory foam beds, providing an excellent night's sleep. While breakfast had good options like cold cuts and fruits, it could benefit from more variety. However, upon arrival, access was blocked by snow, leading to an unsatisfactory experience overall.
